Site info
_Hello and welcome to the Chess Museum
_- a collection of examples, links, advice, opinions and facts referring to chess paraphernalia, principally chess sets, chess boards and chess clocks, the main " tools of the trade" !
All information contained on this site has been put here to support, inform and help whoever may be looking for illumination on these subjects. We strongly advise everybody to use the plentiful links, especially those of collectors who showpiece far more impressive collections.
The Museum mainly consists of
- exhibits,
- occasional exhibitions (some are archived)
- and probably the largest link list for chess collectors around,
- chat blogs (these will be updated briefly)
Personally, we are always happy to help or to give advice, in the limits of our knowledge - but we will not do valuations, see our disclaimer below! And finally - all material on this site is Yours to use, copy and use the photos, under one condition:
State the source!
(You too, Jim...)
This is, I believe, standard netiquette, and quite in accord with the general understanding that all information put on the net is free and public dominion (or should be) - unless explicitly limited.
Thanks for Your attention - and have great fun in here....sorry about the lack of a cafeteria....
Cheers
the curator
