Dear Members and Friends of CCI,
the last CCI Meeting in Weimar with numerous attendants from Germany and abroad was very successful with a record participation. This year we plan to meet in Trier. Many members have already signalled their participation.
Today I cordially invite you and your friends to spend a chess weekend in Trier, the oldest City in Germany, founded in the year 17 BC. by the Romans, from November 6th to 8th , 2015.
Like last year the members of the “Ken Whyld Association”, a group dedicated to the collection of chess books, are cordially invited.
As in previous years we will have a chess market for about 2 hours in the hotel. Please bring chess items for sale or exchange and inform us in order to arrange for sufficient space. To cover the room cost a small contribution of EUR 10 – 15 per table will be collected. The chess market will take place in the conference hotel.
The highlight of the meeting should be the visit to nearby Luxemburg to view the extraordinary collection of chess sets of our member Reinhard Egert. We are grateful to Reinhard and his wife Anita for offering their hospitality.
We were able to negotiate special rates for us in the 4-star hotel “PARK PLAZA”, where a contingent of rooms will be held for us up to September 18th, 2015.

Our special rates per night, including breakfast are: Single room € 99.00, double room € 129.00
A surcharge of EUR 10.00 will secure a superior category room.
Parking is available in the public parking lot “Plaza Carrée” located in the hotel building, at a daily rate of EUR 14.00.
In order to ensure a smooth and uncomplicated meeting we have negotiated special rates with the restaurants, guides and bus operators. Thus we have combined all costs in a participation fee of EUR 185.00 per person which includes:
- welcome drink on November 6th, 2015
- dinner in the Hotel on November 6th, 2015
- all entry fees, guided tours and bus transfer on Nov. 7th and 8th,, 2015
- beverages and cookies during the coffee break
- lunch on November 7th, 2015 (incl. beverages)
- dinner on November 7th,2015 (incl. beverages)
- Bus transfer to Luxemburg

Should anyone prefer to pay the fee in cash at the meeting, please notify us in order to register.
Attendants who do not stay in the conference hotel will be charged EUR 20 to cover the cost of room rents and the like.
The meeting place on Friday, November 6th, 2015 starting from 6.00 pm is the lobby of the conference hotel "PARK PLAZA". Following a welcome drink, we shall proceed to dinner at
8.00 pm, please note that this meal is included in the participation fee.
The presentation of papers will start Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at 9.00 a.m. in the conference room of our hotel.
